Our client’s wellbeing is very important to us. We understand the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 is worrying and we would like to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the situation. Below we have outlined how this situation may affect your bookings with City Room Rentals and the steps we have chosen to follow.
Student Bookings:
We would like to confirm that we are still open and responding to enquiries. The properties that we work with are operating as normal and accepting bookings for the forthcoming academic year. Furthermore, we still have availability for many of our properties across the UK. These include en-suite rooms in shared apartments or private studios. Whether you are searching for an apartment to make friends, want to share with a partner or prefer your privacy, let us do the hard work! We aim to continue to match students with the best purpose-built, affordable, high-quality accommodation. If you’re unsure how our process works then take a look here.
Policy:
Currently, there are no issues regarding student accommodation for the next academic year. We hope that by September the travel restrictions will have been lifted and our International Students will be able to start university without delays or problems. However, if the situation deteriorates and properties are forced to close, students may be entitled to a refund. However, this will depend on your chosen property and the provider. We must emphasise that it is the sole responsibility of the provider and their decision regarding your deposit. It will of course also depend on Government guidelines and regulations at the time. With this in mind, we advise students to please take note of who your property provider is and contact them directly nearer the time. Nonetheless, if required we will, where possible, assist any students that we have referred on.
Summer Bookings:
The situation is currently being monitored across the UK and Ireland for summer hotel visitation, however, the UK is currently on ‘lockdown.’
Policy:
Our properties are taking advanced bookings, but they are not officially open to the public until the Summer period. They will only be able to physically accommodate guests between the months of June and September. There are currently no travel bans in place for these dates in the areas that we operate. Therefore, we will continue to apply our non-refundable policy.
However, please be assured that we will be observing changes in the situation. Should the government extend the travel ban we intend to waive our policy for existing bookings. As a result, we will honour cancellations and issue refunds where appropriate. Prior to this, we will inform clients if there are any updates regarding their booking.
CRR Strategy:
With regards to our office, there will be some operational adjustments. The welfare of staff is a top priority for City Room Rentals. Thus, following government guidelines management has made the decision that the team will work remotely. This is now operational for the foreseeable future until government guidelines change. Nonetheless, the company will continue to operate as usual and clients will not be affected. We will still be available through the usual forms of communication. You can contact the team online via live chat or by filling out your details and your message here. In addition, you will still be able to make an enquiry or booking over the phone by calling us on +44 131 2100050. Or should you have any queries during this time you can also email bookings@cityroomrentals.co.uk.
We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience at this time and we endeavour to respond to all enquiries as soon as possible. We will continue to keep everyone updated and produce relevant content. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
